In East TN someone is about to become a millionaire!

The Tennessee Education Lottery publicly announced that the winning Powerball ticket, worth one million dollars, has not been claimed yet. 

The net income from TEL funds various educational platforms like the new Tenessee Promise initiative that helps financially limited high school graduates to commit to free community college by covering the tuition for two years. Since 2004 when the lottery started to sell tickets, the funding raised to more than $3 billion credited to support specific education programs and almost $8 billion in prizes was paid to players in the area.
