This is a German traditionally drawn lottery game that offers EUR 2.8 billion and so belongs to the richest lottery games in Europe. More and more people are interested to participate in this game because of its big jackpots and more prizes offered. In Germany, it’s called German Lotto 6 aus 49 and has been operated since 1974 by the German National Lottery. It is run by a collaboration of 16 national lottery firms (lotteriegesellschaften) the Deutscher Lotto-und Totoblock (DLTB). Each member takes charge of holding this German Lottery and Totoblock for three years period.
The German Lotto applies a double of 6/49 and 1/10 matrix. When a player joins the game, he has to choose 6 different numbers out of a pool with balls numbered 1 to 49. He also should continue with an Additional Number from a pool of numbers from 1 to 10. The next is another number called a Super Number.
In average, the jackpot won in this German Lotto is a EUR 5.24 Million. The first category of jackpot is won by matching the 6 main numbers and The Super Numbers. However, there are still other 7 categories of jackpots offered in this game. To win the German Lotto jackpot a player must beat the odds of 1 in 139.83 million. For the second category, the odds are 1 in 15.53 million, in which a player matches 6 numbers. To match 5 numbers and an Additional Number winning the third category the odds are 1 in 2.33 million while the prize category number 4 needs the odds of 1 in 55,491 to beat. When a player matches 4 numbers and an Additional Number with the odds of 1 in 22,197, he wins the fifth category of prizes. The sixth category has the odds of 1,083 and the seventh are 1 in 812 with 3 matches of main numbers and an Additional number. The last prize category can be won with the odds of 1 in only 61 to match 3 main numbers.
Anyone will be eligible to purchase the tickets as long as he is at least 18 years old. Those who live in Germany can buy the tickets from an official retailer in their local area and for those who live in other countries can buy them on online lottery ticket sales agencies. In case they win any of the lotteries, the winning will be given as a cash lump sum. The German Lotto draws are held twice a week on Wednesdays at 6.45pm and also Saturdays at 7.50pm Germany Time.;
