This is a German traditionally drawn lottery game that offers EUR 2.8 billion and so belongs to the richest lottery games in Europe. To match 5 numbers and an Additional Number winning the third category the odds are 1 in 2.33 million while the prize category number 4 needs the odds of 1 in 55,491 to beat. When a player matches 4 numbers and an Additional Number with the odds of 1 in 22,197, he wins the fifth category of prizes. The sixth category has the odds of 1,083 and the seventh are 1 in 812 with 3 matches of main numbers and an Additional number. The last prize category can be won with the odds of 1 in only 61 to match 3 main numbers.
Anyone will be eligible to purchase the tickets as long as he is at least 18 years old. Those who live in Germany can buy the tickets from an official retailer in their local area and for those who live in other countries can buy them on online lottery ticket sales agencies. In case they win any of the lotteries, the winning will be given as a cash lump sum. The German Lotto draws are held twice a week on Wednesdays at 6.45pm and also Saturdays at 7.50pm Germany Time.
