The lottery game "Arizona Pick 5" is now called "Fantasy 5". Drawings for "Fantasy 5" and "Weekly winnings" are held Monday through Saturday evenings.
The Pick, which is a $1 ticket game, is drawn on Wednesday and Saturday night.
While the minimum Jackpot to win "The Pick" is $1000000, for "Fantasy 5" it is $50000 and growing until the winning five numbers are drawn. In "Weekly Winnings", the grand prize is $1000 per week for one year, with taxes paid.
"Arizona Pick 5" was drawn daily. Drawings were held every Monday through Saturday evening. In order to win the Jackpot, a player needed to match 5 drawn numbers. Purchases of "Arizona Pick 5" tickets were final. Purchased tickets, also, couldn't be voided. Prizes were available for claiming during 180 days from the drawing.
To try winning the big "Pick 5" jackpot, players needed to match 5 numbers. The "Pick 5" game also allowed the "Quick Pick" option. "Quick Pick" is the option to have a computer choose 5 numbers for the ticket randomly. Players could also choose the numbers by themselves and mark them on the selection slip. Numbers available were 1 through 35.
The game also allowed players to use same numbers on their tickets multiple times. Same numbers on a same ticket can be played up to 12 times consecutively. If they wish to use same numbers for multiple drawings, players needed to notify the retailer at the purchase time, or simply mark the "Number of draws" box on their selection slip.
After the game changed to "Fantasy 5", numbers available for drawing were changed to 1 trough 39. The game also expanded its options, by adding an "Advance Play" option and a "Doubler ticket" option.
The "Advance Play" option allowes players to play multiple draws with one-ticket-purchase. The "Doubler ticket" option means that on every ten tickets, one ticket is a doubler ticket. The "Doubler ticket" doubled the amount of non-jackpot prizes.
"Fantasy 5" also gives a separate voucher, a so-called "Fantasy 5- Second chance" code. The "Fantasy 5- Second chance" code gives a player who plays $5 or more on a single ticket an additional opportunity to win. Winning numbers can be found and checked on their website or by scanning the barcode on the ticket at a Lottery retailer.
Odds in winning any prize in "Fantasy 5" are roughly 1 in 9. Odds of winning the Top prize, to match all five out of five winning numbers, are 1 in 575,757. For a player to match 4 of 5 winning numbers, odds are 1 in 3,387. Three out of five numbers are matched once in 103 drawings and 2 out of 5 numbers once in every 10 drawings.
