A young woman from Los Angeles almost dropped her winning lottery ticket in a homeless man’s lap. On Dec. 16,  Ligia Dennis took her clothes at a Laundromat in East Hollywood  and, on the spur of the moment, she decided to get some coffee across the street and three California Lucky Life Scratchers tickets. Shortly after she came back, a homeless man asked for her change and she nearly gave away one of the tickets she bought.

If somewhere up there God Of Luck really exists, then she certainly got touched by its wings and made her come to her senses, as she quickly decided to keep the ticket. And great she did! The 26-year-old hairdresser noticed that she actually grabbed a “winner” so she went to cash her money.  First, Dennis thought she won $1,000 but a Van Nuys Lottery employee gave her the big news: she actually won a grand per week for 25 years. This means $1.3 million per total.  The happy winner hopes to pay off all of her debts and student loans and eventually to start a business on her own and open up a beauty salon.
