Most people believe that Friday the 13th is considered as unlucky and unfortunate date. However, it was proven wrong by a man from Fort McMurray, Alta, who won Lotto Max Draw with the amount of the prize $ 21.8 millions. This lucky and fortunate man is a former heavy duty equipment operator named Chris Fowler. This 55-year-old divorced man bought the lottery ticket at Mac’s store. When it was drawn and he became the winner, he stated that he had always known that he would be the jackpot winner although he never knew when to be the winner.

The grand news about his winning has shocked his family, especially his children. They did not expect that their dad would grab that a lot of money from the lottery.  When they realized it was for real, happiness surrounded them. Fowler then laid some plans with his money right after he took the cheque at the Western Canada Lottery Office. At first, he would be officially retired from his job then he planned to travel around the world and visit Vegas as his first destination. He would not forget to go to Newfoundland to hand out some of his winning cash to his relatives.

Taking care of his family and marrying to a 21-year-old girl were his next plans after getting his new status as a new multimillionaire. As the addition, Fowler’s win is the ninth-biggest prize to win in the history of Alberta.
